Pani puri and tamarind water

Restaurant: The Chilli Pickle, Brighton.

Not quite soup, but gorgeous tamarind pepper water to have with these amazing pani puri from The Chilli Pickle.

The crispy shells are filled with chick pea salad and tasty pea shoots and they come with the tamarind pepper water, herb chutney and chilli sauce.

The pepper water is like a very, very light broth, and it tastes amazing if you pour a little into the pani puri. The whole thing pops with flavour in your mouth. Yum. I can’t really review this one, as technically it’s probably not a soup, but well worth letting you know about  🙂
